Tori and Andrew

Tori and Andrew were married last week in Jamaica–a beautiful location for such a beautiful couple! Today they had an open house reception here at home, and we were there to capture a few images for them. They already had wedding pictures from Jamaica, so we just did some formals with their friends and family who weren’t with them on the island, and shots of friends having fun and mingling at the reception.

Tori and Andrew–you guys have been meant for each other since you were born, and I first met you as middle school students. You were high school sweethearts, and you clearly adore each other. Congratulations on your wedding, and we wish you a wonderful life together!!

Lady Mountaineers

Recently we had the opportunity to travel to Mount Vernon and meet a great group of young ladies–the Lady Mountaineer basketball team.   They made us laugh, had great ideas, and participated in a really fun photo shoot!  Here’s the banner that will be hanging in their gym this season.

Thanks, Ladies, for hanging out with us!

WOW!

Just wanted to give a shout out to some good friends and fabulous photographers!  Scott and Angela Plauche are dynamite photographers and together make up Scott Plauche Photography.  Their work was recently chosen to be used by the folks at MPIX in their advertising in the current issue of Marth Stewart Weddings.  How cool is that??!!  MPIX sees literally thousands of different wedding images each year, so being chosen shows what truly phenomenal photographers Scott and Angela are.

Scott and Angela graciously allow me to shoot weddings with them, and I can’t even begin to tell you how much fun they are.  Brides who book them will never be disappointed.  Their images are stunning, fresh, and unique.

Congratulations on such an honor, you guys!!!

Catching up. . .

We worked Michelle and her family in right before Christmas, and I just wanted to share a few of the shots.  These three were great subjects, and so much fun!  Miss Madison could have a future in modeling!

Happy New Year!

The presents are unwrapped and put away. The tree is down, and the furniture is back in its normal position so we aren’t stubbing our toes on the chair that has to move to make way for the tree. :-)

Now it’s time to thank all my wonderful clients for making this year better than I ever possibly imagined it could be! 2008 saw the breaking in of the new studio, many new clients/friends, and lots of fun going to places we’d never been before. A huge thank you to all of you who made it possible. To all the seniors, families, brides, and all who allowed us to capture you being you, we appreciate you!!!!

Some of you came to the studio, and we traveled to meet some of you. There was a common thread, though, in each and every shoot—FUN! Whether it was a 30 degree outdoor downtown shoot (Chelsea, how in the world did you look so stinking perfect in such biting cold???), trying to avoid the lightning and squeeze in one more great shot (Kylee, you amazed me with your ideas and your willingness to try anything!), or those perfect little babies that we had the privilege of meeting in newborn shoots, each and every one of you touched our lives in a special way.

We expect 2009 to be even better! Here’s to our clients–the wonderful, the wacky, the fun, the feisty, the young, and the young at heart! God Bless you, and may your 2009 hold many new and exciting adventures!
