Where’s my magic wand. . .

I realized it had been two weeks since I have blogged–Yikes!!!  I have been shooting a LOT and trying to keep up, and I promise to have some new images posted soon.  In the meantime, I thought I’d share with you what has been going on at my house.

My dear, sweet husband (and that is said in all honesty, no sarcasm, because he IS the dearest and sweetest person I know!) decided that a total renovation of our downstairs bathroom was in order.  In his wonderfully optimistic way, he thought it would be done in about 4 or 5 days.  That was over two weeks ago.

It is so necessary, though, because life at the Golubski household in the mornings is nothing short of CRAZY.  Two women trying to put make up on and a man just desperately trying to stay out of the way makes for some interesting argumentsummm, conversations.

The bathroom will be changed from a 1/2 bath to a 3/4 bath, and Sarah will be forever banned from our bathroom (love you, Sarah, but you definitely need your own bathroom!).  In the meantime, my normally marginally orderly house has deteriorated into a barely habitable construction zone.

Here are some shots from ground zero.  I’m hoping to be able to show you some “after” shots really soon!

Family Time

Danny and I had the pleasure of working with the Stewart family recently.  Not only are they a great looking family, they are also a lot fun!  We tried to take pictures in between sprinkles of rain, and we fought some thick cloud cover, but we managed to get some good images!

Thanks, guys, for having us out to your beautiful home!

Senior Attitude 2009

Last week I had the pleasure of photographing six very intense young ladies.  They are the senior members of the Clever Ladyjays Volleyball team.  As you can see, they are as tough as nails, and you should know that they play a mean game voleyball.  We had a great time on the shoot (some shots have more giggles than attitude!).

Thanks, ladies, for bringing your “game faces”!  Good luck on a GREAT season!

Miss Addison

Beautiful Miss Addison came to The Backroads studio the other day.  What as sweetie she is!!  We had a great time with blocks, a tractor, a wagon, and other fun stuff, and Addison was the perfect model!  Just look at these eyes!

Colby–2009

Colby probably won’t want me to say this, but I’ve known him since he was a baby.  Actually, he and my daughter went to the same wonderful daycare provider.  I was reminded what a small world we live in when several years later I started working for Clever Schools where Colby’s dad happened to be an elementary school teacher.  Yep, very small world!

Colby probably also wouldn’t want me to tell you that he’s a phenomenal sax player, but I’m going to tell you anyway.  I have heard him play several times, and have been amazed each time.  He played the national anthem before a ballgame I attended and truly moved me to tears.

While I’m on a roll, I’ll also tell you that Colby is one of the best young men you could ever meet!  Sweet, funny, talented–and so many more great adjectives, but I’ll stop because Colby is probably embarrassed by now if he’s reading this!

Colby, I had a great time shooting your senior pictures.  Thanks for coming to “The Backroads”!
