I’ve been reworking the blog, and I have a lot of work to do. But since I’ve added “favorite things” to my categories, I felt the need to blog about one of my favorite things in the world. Superbowl. And it’s not because I like football. I don’t dislike it, but I don’t know a linebacker from a fullback.

I usually can’t even tell you who will be playing. I can, however, tell you what I will be doing on any given superbowl day. I will be spending it at my in-laws house where the family gets together to watch the game. Actually, the game is secondary. We really get together to eat and share stories. And laugh. A lot. And eat some more. My mother in law makes the most amazing homemade doughnut holes, and there is nothing healthy about them. Which is probably why I love them so much.

Food, family, fun, and, oh yeah, football. Life is good.

We started in the studio, then went out to get some of the fall colors in the country, and both sessions gave us some great images!

Josie 2011

We got together with Josie the other night for some senior pictures, and I think we got some great shots! Josie is not only a beautiful young lady, but she is a trooper as well. By the end of the session we were all soaked from a thunderstorm that rolled through, but Josie kept a smile the whole time! Thanks for being such a good sport, Josie–can’t wait for your downtown session!

Miss Amanda

Stephanie and Sean

I can’t even begin to express how much fun Danny and I had at this wedding. From the moment the day began, we felt like we were working with family. Stephanie and Sean have an amazing thing together, and their wedding was a beautiful celebration of both the love and the friendship they share. From the incredibly beautiful and sweet gift Sean gave his lovely bride to the way Stephanie’s face lit up when she saw her groom, the day was filled with sentimental moments, happy tears, and joyous laughter.

We had to cancel once because of rain, and when the clouds rolled in today, I was afraid it was going to happen again! Fortunately, the sun came out, and we got some great senior shots of Darek in a really cool location. Thanks, Darek, we had a great time tonight!

Dylan 2010

It’s really hard to press the shutter button when you’re laughing! We had such a good time Thursday night during Dylan’s senior session–laughter was definitely the theme of the night. We were able to focus (yeah, I know, bad pun) and in the process captured some rockin’ senior shots. Thanks, Dylan, for making it so incredibly easy!

Sami’s Outdoor Session

Now that the weather has FINALLY gotten so pretty, we’ve been able to take our shooting outside. That’s what we did this week with Sami. Sami is a senior at Clever and is a joy to be around! We encountered bees, thorns, and mud, but we had fun and got some great shots in the process!

Maci–Senior 2010

We shot a marathon session tonight with Maci, starting in the great outdoors and ending in the studio. We shot a little bit of everything and it was hard to narrow it down to a few favorites to post! Here are a couple of Maci’s favorites along with a couple of mine.
